Who We Are
The GCA: Community for Adult Autism is a nonprofit organization that offers support groups, social events, and a yearly symposium for Autistic adults in the Southeast region. The organization is run by Autistic adults, for Autistic adults.
Current Programs
Support Groups
GCA offers monthly support groups virtually, as well as an in person social events. The goal of these groups is to foster community and increase socialization.
Social Events
GCA organizes a number of in person social events in order to increase community engagement and create opportunities Autistic adults may not otherwise have to connect with similar people.
Adult Autism Symposium
GCA and its partners host the annual Southeast Adult Autism Symposium with the goal of offering resources, support, and community for Autistic adults and their families.
Scott Kramer
Founder of GCA Centre for Adult Autism
Scott Kramer, the founder and program director for the GCA Centre for Adult Autism in Chattanooga, the Annual Southeast Adult Autism Symposium and a longtime advocate for autistic individuals, passed away on September 6th, 2019. He had been battling Stage 4 colon cancer.
